If you haven’t noticed I have only done reviews about Aweber and GetResponse in regards to Email marketing and Autoresponders.  The reason is simple.

I would not suggest any other autoresponder service and so I am not going to waste your time or my time.

However, I am going to briefly go over some of them because some people have been asking for them.

Traffic Wave

Traffic wave is okay I guess, but I find that the user navigation can be tricky and it seems to have a large learning curve.

Traffic wave also had a very low delivery rate for me, and a ton of emails went straight into peoples SPAM box.  This means that no matter the price, it just isn’t worth it.  You will end up losing more money than you are making.

Stream Send and IContact

In all honesty, I didn’t even make it past their websites.  They just didn’t seem to match up from the very beginning.

If anyone has any different opinions, let me know and I will do an independent review of them.

Hosted Autoresponders

If you are thinking about a self-hosted autoresponder script to save some money, then think again.

There is a laundry list of issues that you must deal with and here are a few of the bigger ones:

1.  If you are not a saavy coder, then forget it.  No script is going to work simply.  You will need to set up a MySQL database, and probably alter how some of the script works in order to get it looking and running the way you want it to.  Plus, you will get no tech support outside of what is already available to you.

2.  Most hosting companies will only allow you to send a certain number of outgoing emails a day… usually around 100-500.  So if you have a large list, you are screwed.

3.  You have not templates or Spam guards at your disposal, so everything is going to have to be done by hand which can take alot of time.

4.  Look at the features list of GetResponse or Aweber and you can safely assume that your script does not have any of those features easily available.

If you need to an automated email solution (which you do), then Aweber and GetResponse are the only options that you should consider to meet your autoresponder needs.  Check out my reviews of each to see which one best suits your email marketing needs.
