PLR products (Private Label Rights) may be a very good resource for anyone trying to get ahead on the internet. Not only can PLR ebooks and PLR articles be picked up for a relatively small price; they also are advantageous because most of the research and writing has already been done for you.

But PLR articles and e-books may be dangerous. For many online business owners realize the value of Private Label Rights articles and e-books and are using it to its full extent. In real figures, the same PLR articles and ebooks may have been distributed to hundreds or even thousands of customers, who then may have published the material on their sites, with or without changing it extensively.

Succeeding with PLR

The key to making money with PLR articles and ebooks is thus this: you must prepare to rewrite every PLR article and PLR ebook so that it ends up being absolutely unique. If you follow that tip, you will lessen the risk of being penalized by the search engines. Having unique material will always be a plus as seen from the point of view of the search engine robots.

Another reason is, of course, the visitors: who likes to visit a new website and take part of the exact same material as on other competing sites? So even if the search engines very well might have overlooked an identical or near-identical article or e-book, your visitor may perhaps not be quite as understanding. To serve your customers well, adequately rewritten articles and e-books are simply a necessity.

Yet another motivation for rewriting may be this: no one thinks just like you. So you may discover that the PLR ebook or article] that you just picked up didn’t cover all the premises that you thought it would cover. Or maybe the writing style was not what you would have anticipated? Or maybe there were some incorrect “facts” in it? Whatever the case may be, you must plan for some intense editing of the PLR ebook or article to make it better suit the needs of you and your customers.

Here, then, are six ideas on how to change your PLR ebook or article so that it may become more unique and more interesting to your readers:

Change the title

Sometimes PLR materials have ill-suited titles. Thus, you might wish to modify it into something which is more fitting. For proper search engine optimization (SEO), you should be especially careful to select the right title.

Note, however, that even if the PLR title is NOT ill-suited, you might still have to adjust it, to make it truly unique. In any case, you may want to play around with Google’s free keyword tool to see which title could be most fitting.

Rearrange paragraphs

One way to “rewrite” a PLR article or ebook is just to reorganize the paragraphs in the manuscript. By moving one paragraph before another, the overall flow of the article (or ebook) may become significantly better. And the beauty of this method is that you do not have to do any typing!

Erase paragraphs

Another method to “rewrite” a PLR ebook or article would be to simply delete one or more paragraphs. At times (especially in low-quality PLR material) there could be a lot of fluff that simply isn’t possible to keep, if one is planning for a high-quality ebook or article.

Change paragraphs

This is a technique by which you in essence retain the same central ideas in the paragraph, but you articulate them in your own way. Instead of retaining the text “PLR ebooks are ebooks that have Private Label Rights”, you could rewrite like this: “PLR texts are electronic texts that grant the owner Private Label Rights.”

Enlarge paragraphs

Although the further development of a paragraph unquestionably is a way to rewrite a paragraph (and thus may potentially be a part of the previous point), I still wish to keep this method as a separate point. It is by this method that you can make your PLR article or ebook even more unique, and substantially more valuable to your readers.

By extending an article I mean expanding its specific content. You can, for instance, add new points, new reasons, new arguments, new questions, or new data.

Such an expansion may sometimes result in very long paragraphs, so you might want to consider splitting up the longer paragraphs into several shorter ones. This is only an advantage, for it makes your article or ebook even less of a duplicate of the original PLR material.

Insert Related Links

Some PLR content packs include useful links and keywords that were used to create the content. In some cases you may want to put in those links in your articles and ebooks. In other cases you might decide to use your own product links or your own affiliate links to make more money.

Be very cautious, however, with relevance. Do not add links that are not relevant to the main text. For example, in an article on how to heat meat, don’t bring in an affiliate link to your “solar power” product or to another article on, say, your expertise as a dog trainer. Be relevant!

Some final thoughts

It is true that PLR e-books and PLR articles may boost your online profits if done properly. An important step toward success is to be very cautious to rewrite the articles and ebooks in such a way that they end up being not only unique but also valuable to your potential customers.

Adding other items to your e-book or article, such as graphics and videos, might make your visitors even more delighted. So give your content the personal touch your readers are searching for, and then wait for conversions!
